As a twin you are taught to do everything together, that includes your birthdays!


As a child, it can be fun sharing this experience with another person. Double the gifts, attention, and festivities, but as we get older, we start to question how long we will celebrate together?


Most twins unconsciously create their identity as one when it comes to their hobbies, friend groups and interest. Some twins develop different interest while apart and create a separate identities outside of being a twin.

“It wasn’t until we were 25 that we actually started spending our birthdays apart,” Anita says.


“We both wanted to go to Tulum, but we were feeling conflicted when it came down to the itinerary. We wanted to prioritize time with different people doing different things."

Ultimately, we decided to go to Mexico together but celebrate with our own friends. It ended up being one of our best trips! We saw each other at the club and had similar experiences without compromising our independence.”
